A fire broke out on Saturday, February 3, at a major refinery in the Volgograd region in southwest Russia after a drone attack attributed to Ukraine, according to a local official. “Last night, the anti-aircraft defense and electronic jamming means repelled a drone attack in the Volgograd region, in the Kalatchiovski and Zakanaly districts,” Governor Andrei Bocharov said on Telegram. “As a result of the downing of a drone, a fire broke out in the Volgograd refinery,” he added, specifying that the firefighters had already extinguished the flames early in the morning, reports AFP.
