President Tshisekedi continues to call on Congolese people to mobilize against Rwanda. It disappointed me a lot to see colleagues come together to denounce the occupation of Bunagana and then be arrested by security services, including the ANR, and taken to an unknown destination.

I see that President Tshisekedi’s mandate begins with a dark task for us human rights activists. Citizens are being arrested for nothing more than responding to the president’s call.

They are at risk of being victims of torture in the ANR’s premises. The fact that they are deprived of meeting their family members and the assistance of a lawyer puts them in danger because we know well how these services operate.
