Just a few hours before the start of the electoral campaign in Senegal, President Macky Sall announced on Saturday, February 3, an indefinite postponement of the presidential election originally scheduled for February 25, 2024. On February 5, the deputies are convening in a plenary session at the National Assembly to debate and vote on the constitutional bill proposing a six-month delay in the election.
